Scope of work/responsibilities:

We are seeking a consultant to contribute to the definition and development
of architectural structures for a specific or group of technologies within a
domain. The job is responsible for project level compliance to enterprise
standards set in the area of their core specialization. The Architect
proactively promotes architectural solutions that are designed to reduce
overall Total Cost of Ownership for our client.

Candidate will: 1) lead architectural delivery streams within projects and
sub-project work streams with a focus on value, productivity, quality and
up-front drivers(develop architectural best practices and standards); 2)
identify, design, develop, and test architecture components; 3) analyze,
determine, document, own and manage technical requirements; 4) develop
architecture strategies that support enterprise requirements; 5) lead
efforts in providing technical expertise, guidance and training to Solutions
Management teams; 6) provide estimates for architectural component delivery
activities to project and program teams; 7) work with the customer, end
users, other architects, technical specialists and application developers to
define in scope architectural element structures for the application; 8)
assist other architects and delivery staff to develop assessments of
downstream architectural implications of architecture decisions; and 9)
provide assessments of architectural risk and mitigation strategies to more
senior architects and project management. Other duties will require
individual to: validate that the architectural solution and supporting
architecture designs utilize the enterprise architectural components
appropriately; coordinate architecture component design and development with
primary users of these architecture components; review the deliverables
throughout the development cycle to ensure quality and traceability to
requirements and adherence to all quality management plans and standards;
assist in the transition of locally-developed standards for project
deliverables for broader use across the organization; ensure that enterprise
architecture standards, policies, and procedures are enacted uniformly
across application development projects; provide mentoring and coaching to
Architects and senior team members; provide appropriate modeling and design
expertise in area of specialization; and support Joint Application Design
sessions with the functional teams to ensure cross-team communication and
collaboration.
