Scope of work/responsibilities:

We are seeking a consultant to take on the responsibility of all Development
and Test Environments. Candidate will: 1) build Dev / Test virtual /
physical environments to facilitate Projects using set procedure; 2) assist
in supporting break/fix issues of Dev / Test environments; 3) plan & work
with Project Managers to develop Release Plan for projects' execution and
implementation schedule into Development, Test, environments including
resolving conflicts; 4) define and abide by standards and reusable
approaches to resolving environment issues or scheduling conflicts within
Development and Test environments; 5) work with Project Managers, QA, and
support staff during execution phase, to coordinate and drive the scheduled
and approved changes through environments and to manage expectations during
rollouts; 6) approve / limit access requests to dev / test environments,
funneled though requesting tools; and 7) act as the control point of
coordination to facilitate discussion and formulate resolution on hardware
issues, problems, and management of the environments. In addition,
individual will publish and initiate on-going communication to stakeholders
of the environment, through usage calendars, catalogues and outage schedules
as well as manage, document, coordinate, communicate and publish IT dev /
test processes, roll out / implementation schedule. Candidate will own and
publish IT dev / test implementation measures and metrics on build
infrastructure / refresh activity, and review/liaise with support team from
different areas in getting help do maintenance and to keep the environments
up to speed and operational. This will involve monitoring the operability of
hardware / software in all dev / test environments and documenting process,
procedure and issue resolutions, ensuring integrity of data & security in
development and test environments. To be considered for this opportunity,
candidates must have 4+ years of environment management experience and
excellent communications and organizational skills.
