At first, this is a good idea. But, I thought for a few seconds and this
idea has a defect: If he had a personal marina in every port of interest,
then all of his "competitor" yachts could not come and visit because they
are too small and/or could have to pay bigger fees to be "near" The Larry.

Psychologically, and egotistically it is better to just be able to say "I
have the biggest yacht" or "the second biggest yacht" and forget the
practical details of life.

The fact they he is cutting length means that he is
