But why is it so important to locate a country on the map? The
scientific twist to the similar problem is that the modellers that use
commercial packages are not able to tell what equations they solve.
And nobody makes big deal out of that. It is simply that Americans are
able to navigate without maps. Numerous experiments tell that when
they need to go from A to B in most case they are successful.
