I have always probed, offered olive branches, and explored my
surroundings. At worst you get nowhere. At best you learn interesting
things, some of which can help you got on stepping stones, or help you
from stepping on toes.

I am happy vegitating in my retirement house, doing a lot of serious
bird-watching.

I think there are other alternatives. Being a recruiter, to me, is less
desireable than many other professions.
